1. Professional Code of Professional Conduct

As a Registered Tax Agent, Structure Partners is subject to the statutory Code of Professional Conduct regulated by the Tax Practitioners Board. This requires us to act honestly and with integrity, comply with the taxation laws in the conduct of personal affairs, maintain professional competence, and take reasonable care in ascertaining client state of affairs.

2. Client Obligations and Record Keeping

Under Australian tax law, taxpayers bear the responsibility for the accuracy of their tax returns. You must maintain substantiating documentation (receipts, logbooks, invoices, bank records) for a minimum statutory period of 5 years from the date of assessment. Providing accurate and complete records allows us to prepare compliant lodgments.

3. Safe Harbour Provisions

Tax laws provide "safe harbour" protection from certain administrative penalties if you take reasonable care and engage a registered tax agent, provided you disclose all relevant taxation information to us in full and on time.

4. Complaints & Professional Oversight

If you ever have concerns regarding our services, we invite you to discuss them directly with Steven. Clients also have the right to raise matters with CPA Australia or the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB) at tpb.gov.au.
